Writer and society man Charles Condoman, in doing some research for his latest novel on the paranormal, inadvertently conjures up the spirit of his greatest fan--his first wife--the spoiled and selfish Elvira who refuses to obey her vow "till death do us part". Instead she desperately seeks to wreak havoc on Charles' current marriage. You don't need a crytsal ball to predict the comic mayhem that ensues.
