Mission:

The mission of the Mesa Arts Center Education and Outreach Program is to provide diverse programs that present participants with high-quality educational opportunities in the visual and performing arts for the beginner through the advanced.

The Mesa Arts Center Education and Outreach Program is comprised of interrelated opportunities that serve a variety of individuals and needs in our community. The intent of the program is to build participation in the arts by engaging participants in a multitude of ways. Program Details:

Master Classes/Workshops/Residencies

Select students observe or work with a master artist/educator on designated skills and techniques. In Mesa Arts Center workshops, all participants (regardless of skill level) actively participate in activities and instruction provided by a workshop leader. Residencies are led by a resident company or artist and include a combination of master classes and workshop techniques.

Education for Teachers and Selected Others

Teachers are provided unique learning opportunities, linked to school curriculum, in the visual and performing arts, such as professional development classes, teacher camps, residencies, and other programs.

Community Based Projects/Residencies

Community members are actively engaged in single or multi-day community projects presented on or off Mesa Arts Center's campus.
